DESCRIPTION
All showings including Open Houses are by appointment only. Airy, clean, and spacious, 787 East 10th Street is a handsome prewar, brick building straddling Midwood and Ditmas Park. The location is conveniently located about 35 minutes to downtown Manhattan, and about 26 minutes to the Barclays Center by subway (source: Google). Laundry in the building.

Unit 2F is a sunny two bed, 1 bath corner unit with South and West exposures (see floor plan). The kitchen is windowed, and features granite counter tops over shaker-style white cabinetry. Stainless steel appliances include a full size refrigerator and gas range. The windowed bathroom is remodeled with white subway and penny tile accents, a mirrored cabinet and soaking tub. Apartment features parquet wood floors and high ceilings throughout.

Built in 1931, the building welcomes you with a marble-tiled entrance that takes you into a sky-lit stairwell. There are four apartments, each with a unique layout and 2-3 bedrooms. The finishes in every apartment are similar. The building is semi-detached. The front yard includes a sitting area suitable for sunny days on this leafy residential block book-ended by Ave H and Foster. The address is zoned for PS 217 (source: GreatSchools).

What neighborhood is this? Some sources say Midwood, some say Ocean Parkway. Whatever you call it, it's a tree-lined, residential, multicultural neighborhood that you should come and explore for yourself. Your first stop should be DiFara's pizza, called "the best of the best" by Bourdain. A 13 minute stroll from your front door will justify eating that whole pie! Coney Island Ave just one block away offers diverse fair like Milk & Honey Cafe, Sweetness USA cafe, Lahori Chili, Atlas Steakhouse, Kosher Bagel Hole and more. Other neighborhood destinations include Brooklyn College, the Kent Theater, Kings Theater, Brooklyn's Chinatown, Prospect Park, and the Brooklyn Table Tennis Club.

Square footage if given is approximate. Please see floor plans. Brokers are welcome CYOF. First month's rent and security due at lease signing. Pets are case by case (service animals are not pets). Guarantors are case by case.

KENSINGTON

Surrounded by Windsor Terrace, Borough Park, and Flatbush, Kensington is a diverse, peaceful neighborhood. There's a large Orthodox Jewish population, which has made its mark on the neighborhood with kosher eateries and religious buildings. That said, the majority of new people moving here are young professionals seeking a large, affordable apartment.

Fun Facts and History of Kensington

While Kensington was originally settled as part of The Town of Flatbush, the land wasn't used for much. It wasn't until 1737 that the area was properly settled by the British as farmland. Kensington would be used for agricultural purposes throughout the 1700's and 1800's.

It wasn't until 1885 that Kensington was turned into a residential neighborhood. The Ocean Parkway, finished in 1880, helped make the area popular. Businesses started popping up next to it, as did apartment complexes. By the 1920's, Kensington was full of people.

Kensington ran into some issues around the 1950's and 60's…
