This home is our sanctuary, we've lived here for +4 years and absolutely love our place. My husband and I are moving to Mexico for a year and are looking for someone to enjoy our apartment while we are away September 3rd, 2024 - September 3rd, 2025

This is one of those rare apartments in New York City that is a perfect combination of size, style, and price. This is a large 1 bedroom apartment that is 1100 sq. ft. The living room has 3 floor to ceiling windows where light pours in all morning into early afternoon. The living room has two full couches, a large TV, and a dining table with 4 chairs perfect for hosting. By the window, there is a lovely desk nook area where you can work from home folks (like I did).

The kitchen is fully stocked and includes a kitchen island with two chairs where we enjoy our breakfast. All appliances are in perfect condition including our favorite, a Nespresso machine. The bedroom is spacious and includes a large window, a KING size bed, a tall mirror, a set of double drawers, and a closet space. In the hallways, we have 2 additional big closets where we keep our sheets, jackets, shoes, and bags. This apartment is our oasis in a chaotic city, we've put a lot of love and effort into furnishing it with taste including our many plants which we'd kindly ask you to look after as you stay in our home.

The apartment is located on the 2nd floor, and there's only 1 apartment per floor. The space has a traditional NYC fire escape which is perfect for a glass of wine after work. We live above a coffee shop and across the street from a church on a tree-lined street which is incredibly quiet. We are conveniently located next to many train lines including the 4,5,6, J, and F lines, and a CitiBike dock less than a block away. Within a 5 block radius, you have literally the best dim sum in all of New York!

We'll ask for a 1-month security deposit and the first month's rent. We'll also be asking you to sign a relatively simple and standard sublease agreement. Lastly, as we mentioned, we'd ask that you look after and water our plants while we're away. We're looking for someone to stay full-term from (plus/minus one month). The apartment is a unit offered at a monthly price of $5,200. Both cats and dogs are allowed, but as always, double check with the manager about any specific pet concerns you may have. This is a No Fee apartment, meaning the manager or agent should not ask you for a broker fee (there may still be deposits and other move-in fees paid to the landlord).
