DESCRIPTION
*CHARMING, QUIET, PRE-WAR 1 BED/1BATH JUST A FEW STEPS FROM CENTRAL PARK - PETS OK!*

PS 6 SCHOOL ZONE!

This Upper East Side charmer offers a blend of cozy comfort with functionality.

610 sq. ft. with high ceilings, the space is thoughtfully designed to maximize its footprint, with a combined eat-in-kitchen and living area that creates an open, airy feel. The bedroom features a large window and ample space for a queen-sized bed and essential furnishings.

The kitchen boasts modern stainless steel appliances, including a gas range, over-the-range microwave, and new dishwasher. White cabinetry contrasts nicely with dark granite countertops, providing both style and practicality. The bathroom offers a clean and contemporary design with a glass-enclosed shower/tub combination, a single vanity, and a window for ventilation - always a bonus!

Throughout the apartment, hardwood floors add warmth and character. Six large windows allow for plenty of natural light, making the space feel larger and more inviting. The living area can comfortably accommodate seating and entertainment options, with room for a modest dining setup.

Storage solutions are integrated throughout, including built-in shelving and closet space, helping to keep the apartment organized and clutter-free. There's laundry in the building, some storage space in the basement, and a mail package room. Also, the superintendent is really really good.

The neighborhood? You're on the corner of Madison Ave, so it's peaceful, pristine, and quiet. You could literally crawl to the entrance of the Reservoir in Central Park, it's so close. And you are just a few blocks from the 4/5 train and M86 crosstown bus.

UPPER EAST SIDE

The Upper East Side has a reputation of wealth and opulence. Once home to the wealthiest New Yorkers (like the Kennedys, the Roosevelts, and the Rockefellers), the UES is filled with ornate and beautiful buildings. Today, the Upper East Side is still considered one of the more expensive neighborhoods, however, in recent years, it has begun to see younger arrivals (people in their 20s and 30s) who are finding better deals up north, away from the Lower East Side and/or hip Williamsburg.

With the completion of the 2nd Avenue train, the neighborhood is only becoming more accessible to everyone as previously the only train servicing the UEW was the 4,5,6 on Lexington Avenue. Even better, the further east you go, the cheaper the apartments get. All this is only adding on to the interest from renters who no longer have to commute for as long to get to the area.
