OUR THOUGHTS: We really adore this apartment which sits in a petite building on a  lovely tree lined street. The layout is convenient, with king-sized bedrooms  on opposite ends of the  apartment, one with a walk in closet. There is also a private parcel in the backyard and a large private storage unit included in the rent, and laundry in the basement.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD: This is a great street with tall trees creating a canopy over the road and sidewalk. We highly recommend the Graham L area since there are tons of great restaurants, bars, and shops. Check out The Richardson for excellent cocktails and Mesa Coyocan for outstanding Mexican food.

Fun Facts and History of Williamsburg

Originally it's own village, Williamsburg has had a long history as a home for Manhattanites seeking a less-expensive refuge across the river. Because of the convenience of the village, the population grew fast. It became the Town of Williamsburg in 1840, and evolved again into the City of Williamsburg in 1855. However, Williamsburg was soon incorporated into Brooklyn that same year.

Once Brooklyn became part of New York City in 1898, more transportation options were added, making Williamsburg very popular, especially among immigrant populations. Post-WWII, it became home to many Hasidic Jews as well as people from Puerto Rico and the…
