DESCRIPTION
Charismatic one bedroom with delightful details and modern renovations, located on the fifth floor of a boutique elevator building tucked into a quintessential Upper East Side block. The spacious, impeccably laid-out, well-lit apartment combines historic New York charm with pristine modern finishes.

One enters through a gracious foyer where three custom closets are designed to maximize storage space and streamline the feel of the space. The charming, newly-renovated kitchen is outfitted with granite counter tops, custom storage, and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and gas range. The 21.5' living and dining area is accented by dignified wainscot molding and clever recessed lighting. The king-sized bedroom is complete with two generous closets and a ceiling fan overhead and the immaculate bathroom features white subway tile walls, slate flooring, bathtub, and contemporary fixtures.

South-facing and in mint-condition, the apartment receives ample sunlight throughout the day and also offers a coat and linen closet, pristine white oak strip flooring throughout, an entryway ceiling fan, two through-the-wall AC units in place, brand new radiators, and delightful street views with treetop foliage and plenty of sky. Discreet storage has been built out along the windows in both the bedroom and living room since these photos were taken-this also cleverly conceals the through-the-wall AC units, creating an elegant, simplified look while further maximizing storage.

The impeccably-maintained elevator + laundry building offers a live-in super and is positioned on 77th Street between Second and Third which is about as prime Upper East Side as it gets! The classic authenticity coupled with modern energy and development make this part of the neighborhood particularly special. Steps from both the 77th Street 6 and the 72nd Street Q, Citarella, Equinox, delectable Lexington Avenue boutique shopping, JG Melon, Cafe Buon Gusto, Orwashers, The Carlyle's Bemelmen's Bar, Uva, Agata & Valentina, Cafe Boulud, Joe & The Juice, Jean Claude, Corrado, 2nd Ave Deli and The Bar Upstairs, Campagnola, Searmore's, Pil Pil, Sant Ambroeus, The Met, The Frick (I could go on and on...), and of course...the one and only Central Park! Cedar Hill, just into the park at 77th Street is my personal favorite spot. Pets allowed case-by-case.

UPPER EAST SIDE

The Upper East Side has a reputation of wealth and opulence. Once home to the wealthiest New Yorkers (like the Kennedys, the Roosevelts, and the Rockefellers), the UES is filled with ornate and beautiful buildings. Today, the Upper East Side is still considered one of the more expensive neighborhoods, however, in recent years, it has begun to see younger arrivals (people in their 20s and 30s) who are finding better deals up north, away from the Lower East Side and/or hip Williamsburg.

With the completion of the 2nd Avenue train, the neighborhood is only becoming more accessible to everyone as previously the only train servicing the UEW was the 4,5,6 on Lexington Avenue. Even better, the further east you go, the cheaper the apartments get. All this is only adding on to the interest from renters who no longer have to commute for as long to get to the area.

Boundaries of Upper East Side

The Upper East Side contains some smaller neighborhoods such as Yorkville, Lenox Hill, Carnegie…
