DESCRIPTION
Often, the movies depict a quintessentially dreamy NYC home in an ornate pre-war building, nestled on a tree-lined street, while the inside retains oodles of pre-war charm and character. Well, this home is not a movie set, but sure could be one! This newly, gut renovated one bedroom home has all of the modern conveniences, but still feels like you are living in a piece of that highly coveted NYC history. With almost 10 foot ceilings, you enter the home and are greeted by a renovated and windowed kitchen with granite countertops, custom cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen opens up to the living room with enough space to include a dining table. The queen size, corner bedroom has oversized windows with two exposures overlooking gardens, and a closet. The modern bathroom has is elegantly appointed. Crown moldings top those extra high ceilings and there are gleaming hardwood floors throughout. The home comes with a thru-wall A/C unit in the living room.
Located on one of the most picturesque blocks in all of the East Village, adjacent to the Abe Lebewohl Triangle and Park and just a few blocks to Astor Place and Union Square, the amenities of this cooperative building include an elevator, laundry room and a roof deck that is quite magical with open views of the city and sunsets. Close proximity to subways, buses, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and much more! Available for late October/early November and shown by appointment. Cats are OK with board approval, but no dogs as pets, please.

The East Village is a buzzing hub of youthful energy and

Situated between 3rd avenue and the East River, with 14th street to
the north and Houston to the south, this neighborhood is both
stylish and laid back. Once the most vibrant art scene in NYC, it
remains a trendy neighborhood to the avant-garde while also
boasting a much more polished edge, complete with luxury condos,
franchised coffee shops, and plenty of lunch spots.
Like most of New York, the East Village started out as farmland.
Until the early 1960s, the East Village was just the northern tip
of the Lower East Side, largely occupied by German and Ukrainian
working class immigrants. However, the Beat movement made its roots
in the East Village in the 1950's and paved the way for the influx
of the counterculture scene of the 60s.
Since then, the art scene of the East Village exploded with
series like Andy Warhol's…
