Queens is a popular borough that welcomes many renters monthly. The borough boasts plenty of communities filled with restaurants and entertainment with lower rental prices than areas in Manhattan. With neighborhoods like Astoria and Long Island City close to Manhattan, some people move to the borough for the lower-priced rents and the easy commute.

The median rent for a New York City apartment slightly decreased to $4,170 this month. With fall underway, renters may have an easier time locating budget-friendly apartments with spacious rooms and amenities.
