Manhattan Units Under $3,000 in August 2022

For many of us, it’s hard to pass up an opportunity to live in Manhattan especially when you find an amazing deal. These are what we at RentHop like to refer to internally as gems. Thanks to years of accumulated rental data, we have some of the most affordable and quality rental listings the Big Apple has to offer. Our inventory of listings has grown exponentially over the years, and each month we’ll go over some of our favorite rental listings.

Rental concessions offered by landlords have remained steady at pre-pandemic rates (on average one month free) with some buildings not even offering any. As we continue the summer season, renters who are looking to move into the city for internships, school, work, etc. are increasing. However, a continued lack of listing inventory has led to an increase in rental prices. Today we’ll focus on some of our favorite listings directly from advertisers in Manhattan!


1. 49 Clinton Street Unit 8

We’ll start off this month with a spacious one-bedroom apartment located in a pre-war walk-up Lower East Side building. The unit features a tiled bathroom, extra-large bedroom, an open kitchen, and many other great amenities. Pets aren’t allowed by the landlord. Submit an inquiry today to tour the unit.

2. 532 West 50th Street Unit 3B

Next up, check out this turn of the century townhouse located in Hell’s Kitchen. The unit itself is a two-bedroom apartment that comes with a large eat-in windowed kitchen, two queen-sized bedrooms, and a large living room with a fireplace. There are two entrances into the unit and future tenants will have close access to Central Park, shopping, and transportation.

3. 350 East 91st Street Unit 11

4. 330 East 49th Street Unit 7B

The current tenant of this unit is looking to sublet the rest of his lease between August and November. New tenants will get the chance to renegotiate a lease with the landlord. The unit features large windows, free furniture, and is extremely convenient for commuting.

5. 8 West 119th Street Unit 4

Last but not least, don’t miss out on this first floor, one-bedroom apartment by Marcus Garvey Park. The unit faces the street but as such, offers plenty of natural sunlight. Pets may be allowed based on landlord’s discretion. The landlord is looking for a single-occupant tenant to fill a 11.5 month lease from 8/14/22 till 7/31/23.
