Grand Central Tech Ghost Town

Today, real estate showings became an essential service, as is our business of supporting NYC rental showings through RentHop. Perhaps it was an April Fool’s joke with a few firms still pushing for virtual tours only. We have that covered as well with a live-video tour section. But most agents are ready to go back to the good old days of 3 weeks ago. Live, in-person physical showings, with all of the social distances precautions of course.

We went back to the office again for the first time in weeks. Despite being on the Urban Tech Hub floor, the dozens of other companies seem to have figured out how to go all remote (we have too, but it’s nice to stop in to check on things).

The lobby is still blaring some very happy music, which put me in a good mood as usual. The tenant to staff ratio was about 1 to 4. I saw two security guards and two other Company.co related staff members all day. No other startup personnel!
