Affordable Manhattan Units Available Starting in September

For many of us, it’s hard to pass up an opportunity to live in Manhattan especially when you find an amazing deal. These are what we at RentHop like to refer to internally as gems. Thanks to years of accumulated rental data, we have some of the most affordable and quality rental listings the Big Apple has to offer. Our inventory of listings has grown exponentially over the years, and each month we’ll go over some of our favorite deals for rental listings.

The phenomenon of high demand and low supply/inventory of available listings continues into the month of September. Regardless of the fact that the Delta strain of COVID is even more widespread than before, there is still a plethora of renters seeking housing in NYC. As a result, rental concessions being offered by landlords is back to pre pandemic rates (on average one month free) with some buildings not even offering any. Thankfully, RentHop is still getting a great inventory of gems. Today we’ll focus on some of our favorite deals in Upper Manhattan and Midtown Manhattan for this coming September!

Methodology

Released on a monthly basis, the RentHop Best Deal series aims to provide renters with useful market insights and a chance to identify rental gems currently available on the market. These listings are hand-selected by the team at RentHop based on a few factors, including layout, apartment size, features, and more importantly, price โ€” such listings will be on average 10% – 30% below the median asking price of other similar-sized listings in the same neighborhood.

Note that, given the fast-paced nature of the rental market in New York, certain listings may receive applications and be taken off within days on market. If you are interested in scheduling a showing or have further questions, please make sure to submit an inquiry via the inquiry submission form located on the listing page.
