Landlords of All Sizes List Apartments for Free

As many of you know, RentHop.com has been a free source of New York City Apartments from the first day of our launch.ย  We began as a collection of no-fee listings from some of the largest landlords in Manhattan with a goal to provide all of the location, listing, and contact information to our visitors at no charge.

Our mission has always been to provide New Yorkers with the most comprehensive apartment listings database on the Internet, and to fulfill that goal we realize we need to talk to all landlords, both large and small.ย  In recent weeks, our listings have broadened considerably!ย  One of the more exciting new additions to Rent Hop is the inclusion of many smaller, independent landlords who don’t necessarily have the advertising and marketing budget for fancy websites or full page print advertisements.ย  Today we would like to highlight three examples of our independent landlords.

413 East 82nd Street

The first is a studio for only $1,425 a month on the Upper East Side, located on 82nd street between 1st and York.ย ย  The building is walking distance from John Jay Park, the Cornell medical school and hospital, and the 4-5-6 subway lines.ย  The landlord offers both standard and longer term leases.

The next featured listing is an extremely well-priced studio in Midtown West. The landlord is a single-unit owner in the luxurious World Wide Plaza condo building, and again, you are dealing directly with the landlord with no broker fees involved. This doorman elevator building features multiple laundry machines on the same floor as the apartment, and the large windows provide an excellent view of the building courtyard.

Rent Hop even includes shares and sublets now in our landlord base to truly expand our coverage of listings to best serve the New York renter community.ย  The share pictured here on 390 West End is asking only $1,350 a month, which includes furniture, a private bedroom, private bathroom, and access to an extremely gorgeousย  kitchen.ย  The share is part of a unit in the historic Apthorp building.
