I was blown away by Soraya and her team. I had less than a week to find an apartment and move because the housing provided by my future employer (a hospital in the area) turned out to be expensive, small, and run-down. Soraya immediately arranged for me to view a number of apartments that fit my criteria and price range. The apartment I fell in love with I hadn't found in my own search, and Soraya even negotiated a lower rent with the landlord. I viewed the apartment on a Sunday, signed the lease Wednesday, and had keys in hand Thursday. Soraya was in contact throughout the entire process, making it as straightforward and painless as possible. I could not be happier with my new home and am so grateful to Soraya!

Soraya helped me and my girlfriend find an awesome apartment in Manhattan in a very short amount of time. She negotiated to try and bring down the price of more expensive options so they would be within our price range, giving us a lot of choices to work with despite the fact that we gave her pretty ridiculous requirements for NYC (cheap but large one bedroom in midtown east). We were kept in the loop with constant updates throughout the whole process, and she made herself available any time we wanted to reach her. Soroya is extremely pleasant to interact with and genuinely wants her clients to find exactly what they're looking for and leave her office happy, not stressed. We will certainly recommend her to friends and reach out to her next time we want to move.

You cannot possibly go wrong with Soraya! I was moving back to NYC after 25 years and thought with all the apps an agent couldn’t really help and they cost too much - well maybe any agent, but NOT Soraya. In an hour she knew what, where, when and how much. She even knew which landlords / supers would get along with me! No app can do that, but Soraya can! My guess is she saved me about a week of looking and $1000+ per year in too much rent for something I don't like. I love my apartment she found me and know right where to go next time I need another one.

Being a student in New York city, I had tried all the housing options you can imagine and had moved over 3 times in less than a year. I wanted to find my own apartment and finally call it home. But the market, especially when you are on a limited budget is so difficult in New York city that I was starting to lose hope in finding a correct apartment in a okay neighborhood. I had been looking over and over again through craiglist, had seen a bunch of apartments, had talked to several brokers, but honestly I never found the quality of service and humanity I found when I first met Soraya and her team. She has been amazing, extremely warm and professional, listening to my needs, and not walking away from me because of my limited budget. She really tried as hard as she could to get me the best housing option she found while still taking into account my financial constraints, and my international status. Soraya and her team have been so efficient, they really impressed me. Looking for an apartment in the city is a race, it's first come first serve, and it's really easy to fall behind. But because of their extreme professionalism, fast responsiveness, and amazing efficiency, Soraya and her team always stayed one step ahead, and showed me very good deals. She got me a wonderful apartment in the Upper East Side that I love and I am absolutely thankful for. I would warmly recommend anyone to work with Soraya, she's fantastic!

I highly recommend Soraya Selles at AC Lawrence Coldwell-Banker as a broker. My husband and I were not very well prepared for the process of renting in the city--we'd never tried living in NYC before and were caught off guard by the detailed information the Landlord required, and how intensive the process would be. But Soraya worked with us constantly, calling and updating us several times a day, and walking us through the process in preparation for her a pitch to the Landlord (who is very exclusive and picky about renters). Soraya always answered her phone, always responded to texts, and was available from early morning until late evening. She even worked over the Memorial Day weekend to close the deal (in fact, she closed the deal that Sunday). At first we didn't understand why Soraya wanted so many documents from us, or why my husband and I would need guarantors as a backup to the application process--but as the process began to make more sense we realized that she was creating the best pitch to our prospective landlord as possible, demonstrating why we would be the best renters possible (because landlord's in this city aren't desperate for renters). It's definitely a process that my husband and I couldn't have accomplished on our own. Soraya's footwork allowed her to make a solid case to our prospective landlord upfront, and ultimately, she closed the deal in less than a week (again, over the Memorial Day weekend). Soraya even called us after the lease signing to see how it went, and called us later to make sure we had the keys and that everything was fine with the apartment. On a personal note, I should say that my husband and I are also gay, and we never know how people will react to us on a professional level--especially as we're both coming from the South. But Soraya was great and made us fee very comfortable through the whole process. Bottom line: My husband and I had no idea how much work went into renting a property in NYC. It's an intense process that we wouldn't have pulled off without an experienced broker working between us and the Landlord. The broker's fee was a small price to pay for having an advocate in our corner, and for getting us the apartment we wanted, at the price that we wanted, in the location we wanted. In the future, when my husband and I move again, whether we intend to rent or purchase, we will definitely call Soraya.

Soraya and her team were the first to show us apartments that fit our (admittedly very difficult to work with) price range and requirements.
