After seeing all the positive reviews here, I decided to call him. Johnathan is a really responsible person I have ever met when I am hunting an apartment. He always responses very fast with phone call and is straightforward. I have contacted lots of brokers in LA and NY but he is definitely the most professional and responsible person. I am an international student and it’s hard for me to find a good apartment because I don’t have a U.S-citizen guarantor. But he tries his best to help me out and I got the good apartment I love. This guy will be a fighter in your corner.My boyfriend and I came across a listing of Jonathan's from craigslist. He responded within an hour and set up a time for us to see the listing and others that were similar within a few blocks the next day. Jonathan asked us our preferences, and apartment must have's - and the apartments he showed us did not disappoint. The second unit we saw was a 1BDR in Lincoln Square steps from Central Park and we knew we had to have it. From this point on is where he really shined. Jonathan immediately set up an appointment with the building management, coached us in how to best show off our candidacy, stood by as we filled out the application, walked with us to the bank, bought us coffee while management ran our credit report, and celebrated with us after we were approved - all within a 5 hour turn around. Really WOW. We had seen at least 20 other apartments by this point with other building brokers, and couldn't believe how much Jonathan made us feel like he was fighting FOR US, instead of trying to squeeze every last cent out of us (almost every other nyc broker it feels like).Really, we can't verbalize how much he was an advocate for us as the rental applicants. As a professional, he ranks far superior in the honesty department, and with empathy and kindness that is hard to find in this city. We thank you. We love our apartment. Jonathan got it on the first day!! I only wanted to see the unit I responded to and wanted to make sure the photos were accurate and sure enough, that was the apartment I fell in love with. Jonathan has excellent exclusives, I believe his father is a landlord and very knowledgeable about the market. It was way more credentials thn I wanted to share but it was worth it. He no showed to our appointment. When I called from our meeting point to see when he would arrive he yelled at me and blamed me saying we didn't have an appointment. He refused to reschedule saying he had 14 other appointments to view the apartment that day.Additionally, I really question the legitimacy of his listings. He has identical photos for apartments in the west village, east village, gramercy park and the upper west side. Really sketchy.Edit: Johnathan Schnapp's reply to my review is untrue. He is completely misrepresenting our phone conversation. Also, I have screenshots of his listings, he uses the same photos for apartments in different neighborhoods, I would attach them to this review, but sadly, that is not an option.

I was very happy with Jonathan showing me what I emailed himto view. We have a dog and it seemed difficult finding a place thatAllowed large dogs. Jonathan not only found the perfect place but was very professional and had the best exclusive apartments wesaw. I highly recommend Jonathan if you want a very educatedBroker

I will say that Jonathan definitely has some of the best exclusive apartments we saw downtown and he was very negotiable with the fee. At first we were a bit upset with the amount of paperwork we needed to apply for the apartment but he did get us the unit and we are very happy. The photos are accurate and he definitely listens to our needs

Creepy! Jonathan called and emailed me, and when I called him back he told me that I would need to bring all sorts of paperwork and a certified check if I wanted the apartment. He told me about 3 times that the apartment would go fast-thanks, I heard you the first time. When I asked to make an apointment, he told me I would have to call him back in the afternoon. When I asked why we couldnt make the apointment immideatly, he simply said "bye" and hung up on me. Not trustworthy behavior. Be careful!

Jonathon was super responsive and only showed me apartments in my price range. Although I ended up finding another apartment, Jonathon was super courteous and offered to help if I ever needed anything. Good broker!

I'm sooooo happy with my new apartment!! Not the easiestprocess but Jonathan is very experienced and has manygood exclusive units in the downtown area. I was recommended by a friend who used him and I am very happyabout his professionalism and showing me the "actual"apartment I emailed on and renting it!!!

Jonathan told me over email the open house was 12pm to 4pm, but when I called at 12:45pm he claimed they were only showing it until 1pm. He then insisted that it was my fault because "you have to call" him. No explantion as to why he provided me incorrect information - repeatedly - over email.

Finally someone listened to me when I said I want a real2 bedroom with a livingroom. He does like speaking only speaking on the phone but he found us a great apartment and he was very honest and a 1 month fee. He seems tohave many exclusive units in the area.

Apartment advertised was not the apartment shown and were not comparable. 20 minutes late to appointment.
