Ben is an excellent agent. My daughter was in need of an apartment in FIDI within the month and I promised to help her search. I was put in contact with Ben and I was very impressed with his polite and honest demeanor as well as his professionalism. I gave him a list of my daughter's must-haves and deal breakers, as well as her specific location preference and budget. Even though Ben was willing to show us some apartments the very same day, we chose to make an appointment for the next morning. Ben showed us a number of units and I was very pleased that all of them fit our criteria and budget. He was very honest and forthcoming with answers to all my real estate questions. Our search was very efficient, and within a few hours we had found an apartment we loved in a luxury building we had not considered until Ben showed it to us. We wanted to move quickly on the unit and Ben was very helpful with the application process and working with the building management when necessary. Sean and Ben are extremely professional and I honestly know they have my best interest at heart - which is a rarity in New York City!My roommate and I were trying to find a 2 bedroom apartment on a very tight budget and saw about 15 apartments before finding Sean and Ben. Every apartment we had seen before were way too small with no living rooms and every other broker did not listen to our needs. Immediately when I inquired about a listing on RentHop, Sean reached out to me and just by the professionalism of his email I felt like someone was finally going to help us and care about our search. I moved forward with scheduling an appointment with them and Ben took us around the city to start our search. They were also very accommodating with meeting after 5:30pm, as my roommate and I could not search for apartments during the day with our current jobs. Needless to say, the first apartment that Sean and Ben showed us was it! There were 2 apartments in the same building and we wanted either one! I couldn't believe our terrible search was over that fast, all because they actually listened to what we wanted. We hurried back to their office where Sean was waiting for us with applications ready to sign.The next day we could not get the apartment due to the landlord's restrictions and us not being able to use a guarantor (not Sean or Ben's fault). Sean stayed on the phone with me all day working on the issue, and once I had to withdrawal our application from the apartment, he discussed all my options with me moving forward to ensure I was able to find a place before my move out date. He suggested that I try to stay in my current apartment and resign my lease (proving that he wasn't in it for money, but genuinely was trying to help me). He stayed in contact with me until I worked it out with my landlord to stay in my current apartment. I now know who I am calling for any of my future moves in NYC! I have and will recommend Sean and Ben's services to all of my friends. Truly genuine people!
