He worked diligently with the housing program inspector, the landlord, and the housing specialist- expertly navigating the insurmountable red tape- we never could have managed without his help!! When I first moved to New York City for my job, I was not really sure how it all worked. Luckily, Michael was easy to work with and found me a great apartment in Uptown Manhattan. He was very easy to communicate with, responded quickly to emails, and really kept me in the loop on how the process would work from seeing an apartment, to documents needed to apply, to getting my keys. Michael did such a great job that I used him a second time to move once my first lease ended. Once again, he found me another excellent apartment with my same landlord - but cheaper and more "me" in terms of size and location. I would recommend him to anyone new to the city, nervous about the process, but who wants an excellent real estate agent who is smart, communicative, and who will guide your through the process from start to finish!!!

Michael provided services well-beyond what we expected from a New York broker. After helping us find our home, it became quickly apparent that our new landlord and his property management company had not prepared for our home to be moved in to, despite us moving a week and a half after our lease started. Our toilet was broken, the outlets didn't work, and parts of the bathroom had actually rotted through. Because the management property AND the landlord continued to dodge our requests and concerns, Michael stepped in as an intermediary and kept constant communication with us throughout the process, ensuring that our intinerant landlord and property management fixed the outstanding issues and negotiated a decrease in our rent for our troubles. We plan to purchase our next home and will definitely be going to Michael for help with the process next year!
Michael has actually assisted us with our apartment search twice! He helped us secure an apartment at the height of the pandemic when options in New York City were limited, and financial standing was in flux. He was able to secure us a fantastic apartment in Hamilton Heights across from a park with a GORGEOUS view of City College! Later on, when we had only a short amount of time, he showed us several apartments in our price range (all over upper Manhattan). He is a a gem and joy to work with!

Michael was a dream when purchasing our first home. Michael possesses a deep knowledge of the NYC residential market and was respectful and cognizant of our targeted budget, which saved us countless hours of wandering through poor options (something other brokers I've worked with have not always brought to the table). Operationally, Michael was fantastic: super responsive, on top of all of the details, and helped us keep our cool when faced with the complexities of co-op logistics. I cannot recommend Michael enough! Trying to find an apartment in Manhattan that fit my needs and budget seemed like a nightmare until my roommate and I worked with Michael. He's incredibly friendly and really listened to our concerns. He works hard to only show you properties that he genuinely thinks you'll like and is upfront about the downsides of any given property (difficult landlords, increased rent after a few months, etc.). He even pays for the Uber when traveling from property to property he shows you! He helped my roommate and I to find our dream apartment in just a week after more than a month of looking on our own. He also helped walk us through all of the paperwork afterwards. Michael is THE BEST.
