DESCRIPTION
SIMPLY EXTRAORDINARY.1046 Sterling Place is arguably the best apartment that Crown Heights has ever seen. This gorgeous, renovated, and convertible four-bedroom in a beautiful brownstone has just become available for rent for the first time since 2015. It features approximately 1700 square feet on two levels, plus about 850 square feet of basement area and a unique private outdoor space of about 1000 square feet. There is also another level with the laundry room and an area that could be used for storage. The enormous kitchen is beautiful and would make even the most discerning chef happy. This extraordinary brownstone perfectly blends impeccable renovations with a pre-war townhouse charm. The outdoor space comprises a deck and a huge yard that is bigger than most apartments in the city. The basement can be used as a recreation room, storage, gym, or office. Please note the picture of the living room is from when the owners lived there. According to the NY Times and Daily News, Crown Heights has recently become one of the most sought-after and highest-appreciating neighborhoods. Just 20 minutes to Manhattan, and the convenience of the 2, 3, 4, 5, A, and C trains, S shuttle, and LIRR allow you to commute anywhere easily. Or stay local and enjoy an abundance of nearby attractions, including the Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Zoo, or Barclays Center, home to the Nets. Cooking and dining are a delight, with numerous grocery stores, cafes, and restaurants located on Franklin, Bedford, and Nostrand.

CROWN HEIGHTS
Off the east side of Prospect Park in Central Brooklyn lies the
diverse and lively neighborhood of Crown Heights. Mostly
residential, this neighborhood also boasts a vibrant nightlife and
restaurant scene that makes the area popular with young adults.
Crown Heights began its life a bit later than most Brooklyn
neighborhoods, becoming a residential area only after the
revolutionary war. However, once it got going in the early 1800's,
it quickly became a haven for secondary homes of the wealthy King's
County elite. This popularity only increased when train lines were
extended to the area in the late 1800's.
While many of those older Victorian homes are still around,
brownstone row houses were built in the early 1900's to thrust the
area into the modern day. Around the 1950's Crown Heights began to
see an influx of diversity with large populations of black and
immigrant communities moving into the neighborhood.
The 1970's were a turbulent time…
