New York Magazine recently awarded three neighborhoods the coveted title of “affordable and desirable.” The three lucky neighborhoods? Inwood, Ditmas Park and Kingsbridge. That made us curious about what’s available in those parts of town, so we laid out the apartments with the highest HopScore in each area. These three listings are at that sweet intersection of affordable and desirable, making them appealing options for renters on the hunt.

Described by New York as the “Upper Upper Upper West Side.” And the views of Manhattan are pretty bonkers. If you don’t mind a longer train ride and walking up some steep hills, apartments in this neighborhood may be your perfect combination of affordable and desirable.

2 Bedrooms at West.10th Ave – $4,445

Inwood even has luxury buildings, like this state-of-the-art option, with floor-to-ceiling windows in the apartments.

A stone’s throw away from Prospect Park, this neighborhood is a “diverse community with stand-alone Victorian houses, good schools, and a rich dining scene.” Ditmas Park is an eight-block historical district in Flatbush that boasts residential apartment buildings constructed in the early 1900’s.

1 Bedroom at Dorchester Rd and Ocean Avenue – $1,275

This large one-bedroom apartment has hardwood floors and receives plenty of natural light.

According to New York “It may not win any beauty contests, but it’s well-stocked with amenities and prime for growth.” For sporty types, this location is just a few blocks away from Gaelic Park, a multi-purpose athletics facility.

Inwood – Affordable and Desirable
