We are thrilled that so many new visitors have found us through the recent New York Times article<\/a>.\u00a0 In fact, for most of the weekend, we were the second most popular piece of news in the entire real estate section of the New York Times! We’d like to thank our RentHop<\/a> users for supporting our endeavors, and welcome New York Times readers!<\/p>\n

As many of you have deduced, we are planning some fairly significant changes in the coming weeks as we continue to learn more about the market and the complex Manhattan<\/a> real estate ecosystem. Only six months ago, this project began as a seemingly simple task of aggregating landlord listings into a single, user-friendly website. Now we realize there are many people looking to us to invent an entirely new business model. While we have not finalized anything about the approach we ultimately take, we will not forget the original motivating mission.\u00a0 We empower our visitors with free, objective information and assistance to make the difficult rental process easier. Our New York Times readers will hopefully have the same easy experience finding an apartment on our site.<\/p>\n
